European Commission Approves Ireland – Northern Ireland – Western Scotland INTERREG VA Programme

Yesterday, the European Commission formally approved the Ireland-Northern Ireland – Western Scotland INTERREVG VA Programme.   The Programme runs until 2020 and its total value is €283 million with €240 million coming from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and €43 million coming from national contributions.    The Programme’s priorities include research and innovation development ; sustainable transport ;  environmental protection ; and healthcare provision.

The Programme is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) in Belfast and, shortly, it will publish a rolling calendar of funding call dates.   For further details see www.seupb.eu .  Scotland Europa is also organising a Pre-Application Workshop at Jury’s Inn, Glasgow on 26 March 2015 and there is a list of Pre-Application Workshops on the SEUPB website.
